In the Murcian city of Jumilla there are two important celebrations in all year: the Holy Week and the Fair.
The Fair started to celebrate in 1357 thank King Pedro I’s authorization. It was on November. Now, the Fair celebrates on August and it is called Wine Harvest’s Party too. Like this, the most events are performed in honor of wine growing activities. During nine days every person from Jumilla enjoys with the culture, gastronomy and customs of their own city.
On one hand, there are activities and events for all ages like Muslim and Christians’ show, Traditional’s Procession  or Virgin Asunción’s Procession that is Jumilla’s patron saint. Younger people can do many things for not being bored. There are music concerts, discos, game shows and much more which are planned for them. Children always wait hopefully the Fair in order to go on a ride.
It should be pointed out that the most important event in the Fair in Wine’s Procession. Many people, who live in near places to Jumilla, visit the city every year only just for seeing and participating in the “Wine’s Festival”. The procession is so famous because all people get stained of wine. They enjoy spilling wine each other.
On the other hand, Wine’s Procession has been criticized by a lot of people from Jumilla because of negative effects for the streets, gardens and historical monuments. Next day of this, the city is dirty. They want to recover a procession based on the tradition. It celebrates two wine’s processions five years ago.

Finally, Jumilla’s Fair is such a beloved festival for all that its people do not stop fighting so that it gets to be considered National Tourist Interest Party. Will we get it?
